At BOLD, we strive to set a new standard for responsible and sustainable fashion, empowering individuals like you to make a positive impact on the planet through the choices you make.
Central to our ethos are three defining pillars: ENVIRONMENT, INNOVATION, and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
In our commitment to these principles, we’ve collaborated with JEANOLOGIA harnessing their advanced technologies like laser, e-flow, and ozone. This partnership ensures we reduce our environmental footprint during production and steadfastly maintain ethical standards.
We ensure that 20% of the cotton we use is recycled, reducing waste and promoting circularity. Additionally, we prioritize the use of organically grown fabrics that require less water for cultivation, further minimizing our environmental footprint.
All our denim accessories, from buttons to rivets, are crafted from recycled metals. We use recycled labels and ship in biodegradable poly bags that decompose within a year. Even our hang tags are printed on recycled paper using eco-friendly soy ink.
Our denim is crafted in a family-owned factory with over 40 years of expertise, using locallysourced raw materials. This local approach, backed by the factory’s certified best practices, not only supports local economy but also minimizes transportation, reducing our carbon footprint.
With our eco wash technologies, we save up to 95% of water during the washing process of Bold products.
BOLD harnesses Jeanologia’s Ozone and E-flow technologies, transforming traditional bleaching and abrasion in the washing process. We achieve up to 95% water savings, 90% fewer chemicals, and 40% less energy, compared to traditional washing processes.
Traditional denim washing with pumice stones produces toxic waste harmful to groundwater and health. At BOLD, we opt for recyclable faux stones in the washing process of our jeans that generate no waste, don’t absorb chemicals, and are reused in subsequent garment production.
To safeguard our workers and prevent water contamination, we’ve eliminated the use of harmful chemicals like potassium permanganate, caustic soda, and bleach. We opt for plant-based softeners, waterless enzymes, and natural dyes.
Our family-owned vertical factory, with 40+ years of denim expertise, is acknowledged by the UN Global Compact and other international bodies for our ethical and environmental standards. Regular audits reinforce our commitment, as evidenced by certifications like ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and BSCI.
Saying that we are a sustainable is good but showing it is even better. We use the latest Jeanologia’s EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) software platform technology to score BOLD’s environmental footprint in our garment finishing processes, including water usage, energy consumption, chemical impact and workers’ health.
BOLD proudly utilizes the advanced and eco-friendly G2 OZONE technology in our washing process.
By generating ozone (oxygen gas) from atmospheric air, we treat garments and achieve an authentic outdoor look through reactions with fiber dyes. Compared to traditional laundry methods, Jeanologia’s G2 OZONE technology saves up to 65% water, 80% chemicals, and 20% energy per garment.
The E-FLOW technology uses Nano bubbles as carriers to efficiently transport chemicals into garments. These bubbles form a humid cloud, facilitating the seamless infusion of chemicals into denims while minimizing water usage. In comparison to traditional methods, this technology enables a reduction of up to 95% in water consumption, 90% in chemical usage and 40% in energy consumption throughout the denim production process.
While we adore the authentic denim effects, we’re not fans of the harmful chemicals traditionally used to achieve them. At BOLD, we’ve embraced innovation with Jeanologia’s laser technology. This innovative method allows us to achieve precise ageing and distressing while minimizing energy consumption, reducing chemical usage, and placing the utmost emphasis on worker safety in crafting our garments.”
