In our commitment to these principles, we’ve collaborated with JEANOLOGIA harnessing their advanced technologies like laser, e-flow, and ozone. This partnership ensures we reduce our environmental footprint during production and steadfastly maintain ethical standards.
ECO-MATERIALS
Sustainable Fabrics
We ensure that 20% of the cotton we use is recycled, reducing waste and promoting circularity. Additionally, we prioritize the use of organically grown fabrics that require less water for cultivation, further minimizing our environmental footprint.
Sustainable Accessories
All our denim accessories, from buttons to rivets, are crafted from recycled metals. We use recycled labels and ship in biodegradable poly bags that decompose within a year. Even our hang tags are printed on recycled paper using eco-friendly soy ink.
Local Production
Our denim is crafted in a family-owned factory with over 40 years of expertise, using locallysourced raw materials. This local approach, backed by the factory’s certified best practices, not only supports local economy but also minimizes transportation, reducing our carbon footprint.
ECO-WASH
WATER LESS WASH
BOLD harnesses Jeanologia’s Ozone and E-flow technologies, transforming traditional bleaching and abrasion in the washing process. We achieve up to 95% water savings, 90% fewer chemicals, and 40% less energy, compared to traditional washing processes.
ECO-STONES
Traditional denim washing with pumice stones produces toxic waste harmful to groundwater and health. At BOLD, we opt for recyclable faux stones in the washing process of our jeans that generate no waste, don’t absorb chemicals, and are reused in subsequent garment production.
0% TOXIC CHEMICALS
To safeguard our workers and prevent water contamination, we’ve eliminated the use of harmful chemicals like potassium permanganate, caustic soda, and bleach. We opt for plant-based softeners, waterless enzymes, and natural dyes.
ETHICAL FACTORY
Our family-owned factory, with over 40 years of denim expertise, is recognized by the UN Global Compact and other international bodies for its ethical and environmental standards. We undergo regular audits and hold certifications such as ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and BSCI.
We are dedicated to inclusivity, prioritizing the well-being of all workers, particularly our predominantly female manufacturing team. We also partner with organizations offering roles for seniors and individuals with disabilities, promoting empowerment and equality at every level.
EQUALITY & INCLUSION
EIM SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY
Claiming sustainability is one thing, but proving it is even better. We use Jeanologia’s EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) software to track BOLD’s environmental footprint in garment finishing, including water usage, energy consumption, chemical impact, and workers’ health.
OZONE TECHNOLOGY
BOLD proudly uses the eco-friendly G2 OZONE technology in our washing process. By generating ozone from air, we treat garments to achieve an authentic outdoor look while saving up to 65% water, 80% chemicals, and 20% energy compared to traditional methods.
E-FLOW TECHNOLOGY
E-FLOW technology uses nano bubbles to efficiently transport chemicals into garments, creating a humid cloud that infuses chemicals into denim while reducing water usage. Compared to traditional methods, it cuts water consumption by up to 95%, chemicals by 90%, and energy use by 40%.
LASER TECHNOLOGY
At BOLD, we love authentic denim effects but avoid the harmful chemicals traditionally used. By embracing Jeanologia’s laser technology, we achieve precise aging and distressing, minimizing energy use, reducing chemicals, and prioritizing worker safety.
